Privacy Policy

Our Commitment to Privacy

Police & Thief is a simple, offline puzzle game built with your privacy in mind. We do not collect, store, or transmit any personal data. Your privacy is absolute.

Data Collection

We do not collect any data. Police & Thief does not:

  • Collect personal information
  • Track your usage or behavior
  • Use analytics services
  • Include advertising or ad trackers
  • Send crash reports externally
  • Require account creation or sign-in

Local Storage

Police & Thief stores your game progress locally on your device using Apple's UserDefaults system. This includes:

  • Completed Puzzles: Which levels you have solved
  • Puzzle Solutions: Your saved solutions for completed levels
  • Settings: Your preferences such as sound and haptic settings
  • Premium Status: Whether you have unlocked premium content

This data is stored entirely on your device and is never transmitted to any server. If you delete the app, this data is permanently removed.

Third-Party Services

Police & Thief does not integrate with any third-party analytics, advertising, or tracking services. The only external service interaction is:

  • Apple StoreKit: Used solely to process the optional premium in-app purchase. This transaction is handled entirely by Apple. We do not receive or store any payment information. Apple's privacy policy governs this transaction — we encourage you to review Apple's Privacy Policy.
  • Formspree (Support Form): If you contact us through our website's support form, your message is processed by Formspree. This is only for the website, not the app itself.

Data Retention

Since we don't collect your data, there is nothing for us to retain. Your game progress remains on your device until you choose to delete the app, at which point all local data is permanently removed.

Children's Privacy

Police & Thief does not collect any personal information from any user, regardless of age. The game contains no social features, no user accounts, and no data collection mechanisms, making it safe for users of all ages.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any changes by posting the new Privacy Policy on this page and updating the "Last updated" date.

We encourage you to review this Privacy Policy periodically for any changes. Changes to this Privacy Policy are effective when they are posted on this page.
